LT1+T56+RWD+5th gen Maxima....

Anyone ever do this, or anything like it?

Some time late this year or early next year my Z28 is getting a stroker motor and I want to put the motor that is in it now into something else. I was thinking about a Miata, or something small like that, but then I started thinking about how cool it would be to put it in to my Maxima. This would deffinately be a long term project.

Just wanted to see if anyone knows of anyone doing anything like this before.

Didn't know where I should post this so if there is a better forum if a mod could move it there for me and let me know where it was moved to that would be great.

i think you would be the first, and the last
however if you are a super do-it-yourselfer, then get on it. there is so much work that is involved though i dont want to spoil your positive attitude

hmmm.....besides the extensive work for the swap, you would need to do EXTREMELY extensive frame work, put an entirely new rear suspension (we have a beam axle hybrid, remember?)....not to mention there is no driveshaft tunnel in our cars....

all in all, if I were gonna go to all that trouble and expense I would:

- just import a Skyline or Lancia Delta Evo (with T3 turbo)
- what the hell, while you're doing all that, make it AWD too!
