any ideas on what might be causing this...much easier to hear when outside the car...its sorta sounds like an improperly grounded sterio with the whine u get from higher rpms...but its coming from the engine bay. just changed my oil and put a new filter in but it was doing it b4 that...doesnt seem to be afecting the car....any ideas welcome.

 

yeah same here when my car is idle it like whines and rings.. but when i step on the gas it goes away... but it doesnt always happen... jsut here and there

My Accord did this once or twice. Turned out to be the alternator dying. Or could be a belt thats too tight or too loose.
