carpartswholesale on eBay

Stay away from this seller - they have horrible customer service/accounting dept. and are completely unprofessional.

Positives:
- Fast shipping
- Excellent packaging
- Cust. service rep who accepted payment over the phone was very courteous

Negatives:
- Don't reply to e-mails
- Product is not as described - poor quality and fitment
- Rude customer service
- Revenge neg. feedback for no reason (I payed the same day)

I purchased a RH Mirror, heated, for my '97 Maxima http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=7978047383
and payed for the item right away over the phone. Several days later I notice an e-mail from their accounting department stating that I have not paid for the item (at this point I have already received the package). So I reply that the payment was made over the phone and what do I get in return - another e-mail from accounting dept. saying that I didn't pay and that they're going to file a dispute w/ eBay. To make long story short carpartswholesale files a non-payment dispute...thankfully it was settled a few days later.

As for the part itself, it was far from "easy-to-install" as they claimed in their item description. The replacement mirror, a cheap Taiwanese copy, had poor fitment primarily due to lack of the guide screws that alllow the mirror to properly align to the OEM mountig holes. Here is a pic of a factory mirror showing the guide screws that were lacking from the Kool-Vue replacement mirror.

After many tries I was able to mount the replacement mirror but the fit was far from ideal, and after numerous attempts the plastic thread holes, which should have been metal like OEM, started to strip so I had no choice but to leave it as is. Furthermore, the mirror made excessive amount of noise during adjustment, especially when moving it down.

I contacted the service department and was told to send some pictures of the problem and they would get back to me. They never did. I called them back and tried to get ahold of the same customer service rep., Laura, which proved to difficult. After waiting for about 30-40 minutes, Laura put me on-hold for an hour and just hanged up after that. So, I decided to try a different customer service rep., Katie, who was extremely rude and did not want to do a thing for me. Finally, Katie said to send her an e-mail with problem description and pictures. Of course, she never replies to my e-mail. I decide to try Laura once again and finally get some progress, she promises to have their warehouse person check out the part and get back to me. Once again Laura doesn't get back to me. I tried contacting Laura once more but it was the same story again.

Frustrated, I leave negative feedback. What do I see several days later...negative feedback left for me by carpartswholesale saying "we apologized, items based on order..call our customer service 800-541-2521" which is a lie (they never apologized). As a matter of fact that is their standard reply to all neutral/negative feedback. If you don't believe me check out their member profile.

Sorry for such a long post but I just wanted to give everyone a heads up.
