dimensions and weight for 5&6 spoke rims
I'm looking into buying new rims for my 4th gen, and want a bigger and lighter rim than my sawblades. I was wonder the dimensions and weights of the 5and 6 spoke rims!
5-spoke SE 16x7: about 25 lbs
6-spoke SE 17x7: about 26 lbs
for some comparison sake:
Infiniti G35 coupe 18x8: about 24 lbs
Infiniti G35 coupe 17x7.5/8: about 23 lbs
According to all the info I have seen, the 4th gen wheels weigh:
15x6.5: 16.5 lbs
16x6.5: 19.5 lbs.
short answer...."upgrading" to 5th gen rims will put heavier rims on the car, which will be multiplied by the fact that they are larger diameter (resulting in higher rotational mass as well).
and, the grand list of other aftermarket wheel weights (GREAT site):

addition: you will have an EXTREMELY hard time finding an aftermarket rim that is both bigger AND lighter than your sawblades, which are under 20lbs, unless you're prepared to pay alot of $$. Factory rims are usually on the "very heavy" side of things, so that they are stronger.
Stock 2k2/3 SE wheels are 26.3lbs rim only (just went to the garage and weighed one) Id suggest getting something else entirely if you are looking for performance gains in any way....attaching these anchors to your axles sure isnt going to help anything.
