Today decided alittle exta money in the wallet i was gonna go up to the nissan dealership in butler Nj and order sunroof wind deflector and my license plate bracket was crunched from previos owner so i was gonna order that to..

To make a long story kind of short they wanted 80$$ for the deflector, and i got a price quote on a foglight and it was 176$$ alright alittle steep so i said forget it and traveled down to the nissan dealership in Hawthorne..got down deflector was 50$ and the license plate holder was 10$ less than what butler wanted...so in a halfshell call around casue i talked to the guy and Nissan sets a base price for all parts and the dealership can choose any price they would like according to how they feel be careful

Re: Discount dealers

Also Scottsdale Infinity, mentioned in the FAQ for some mods with Infinity parts, can order parts for the Maxima and they honor the discount as well. Very nice folks--I bought from them a few times already.

Cheaper place online

There's another place that's cheaper than Courtesy Nissan. I was searching the net and found that Nissanparts.cc is much cheaper than Courtesy Nissan. However, there's a catch because you need to know the part number. If you have the part number you can type it in and a price will show up. It's not a big discount...for expample the oil filter at Courtesy is 4.80 and Nissanparts.cc is 4.20

I have the same experience on dealer parts. When I was looking for parts for the 300ZX I had, I consistently found different prices from different dealerships, even when they are only miles apart from each other. Another thing I found is that Nissan genuine parts are not necessarily more expensive than auto store parts.
