Squeaking Noise when I Start the Car near timing belt area...please help
Lately, sometimes when I start my car after a couple of days not driving it, the left side(facing car) of the car makes a loud squeaking noise. It still makes noise while driving it. Other times it goes away.
Could it be the timing belt?
Thanks in Advance.

There isn't a timing belt, there is a chain. A slipping chain won't make a squeaking sound, trust me
It sounds like your serpentine belt is getting old. You could try to adjust your tensioner to reduce the noise temporarly.

Hey I have the same problem with the squeaking every morning, but then it goes away. In the afternoon after a drive, I'll open the hood and listen and won't hear anything. I'm looking basically in the front left of the engine and can see some sort of belt. Is that the drive belt or serpentine belt that needs to be replaced? Ballpark, how much am I looking at paying? Thanks.
