Cattman or Injen CAI???
Theres really no noticable differances in different brands. my dad has had a Injen CAI and a budget brand. They were preaty much the same. the only difference are the filter. if you plan on buying one, you might consider upgrading your filter to like a K&N. you can custom make one at K&N.com
In terms of power, intakes do next to nothing on our cars, unless you have a highly tuned engine or forced induction. Even if you gain a little in one part of the rev range with an aftermarket intake, you lose a little in another part, so overall acceleration isn't really affected.
The stock intake isn't really restrictive for anything but a highly tuned or FI engine, and a full 3" intake won't exactly do much since the throttle body is 2.5".
You'll get a ton of people ranting and raving about the "butt-dyno" saying their intake made the car faster, but a lot of that is from the extra noise they make.
Which, incindentally, is cool, so if you want noise, go ahead and grab an intake. I like the Frankencar hybrid intake the most for sound.

There was a thread which showed solid evidence of actual POWER LOSS with after market intakes. The dyno charts showed a 2-5 hp loss over the stock intake system. Maybe someone can find it and link it to this thread.
There is debate about allowing the ECU ample time to adjust to the installation of each intake before another dyno is performed since the runs were done, one after the other, just allowing time for the swap in between runs.
I personally like the sound of my Frankencar intake, so it will stay on, even if I lose a few horses here and there.

Check out Cosom Racing, here's a link. I ordered this for mine and it is pretty good quality and a lot cheaper than an Injen

stay stock unless you want something to look at and hear. if you must go with cai, get an ebay setup and swap the filter for k&N. now you have the same quality, performance and sound for 75-85% less cash
get the y-pipe! take it somewhere good to install it! use the stock mufler because it will make it less of a sound problem, unless you can find something quieter. myne is loud but i have a stillen mufler which is said to be pritty loud
not to mention i have the stillen K&N hi flow exust which i like, but it adds to the sound and now my car sounds like well it sounds like it has no cat on it at all
i need to do some modifying and look for any leaks if their are any but i dont have the time or money

you know, i was thinking about getting either a PR CAI or a injen, but it seems like you gotta cut the fender for PR CAI? and i don't really get the thing about injen cai not being a real cai. can someone explain to me the difference? it's either getting a cai or i'm thinking about a cattman hybrid since i'm driving an automatic and popchargers seem to lag at lower rpm if i'm hearing correctly.

I got the Cattman CAI and I'm really happy with it, it's exactly what I wanted and I've had no problems yet... So I'd go Cattman before Injen any day, especially because it's a true cold air intake, not that it matters really
Buuuut, I'd recommend just getting it on eBay instead of Cattman, it's tons cheaper and you can just throw on a K&N filter like the guys have been saying.

i just got the stillin k&n intake... and im going to modify it so that it gets the air flow from the ram inlet, and make annother "make-shift" fix to have air tubes directed to it.
you can also put a tuperware (sp?) container (or whatever you want) so its more like the stock air box, and direct air using tubes and the ram air inlet. i seen pictures in annother forum post and it was a great idea to me :P
if this isnt english to you then i dont know what is. stop badgering my crappy forum talking :P
