What color are the gauge needles?
What color are the gauge needles?
Hey guys,
I have a 5th gen and I heard that the 4th gen needles could be sanded down to be clear. However while searchin ebay I came across the SE cluster and the GXE/GLE cluster.
The SE cluster were red needles and the GXE/GLE ones appeared to be white, however the picture was too far away to be sure.
So can anyone tell me for sure?
Thanks
EDIT: Here are the two pics
this one is listed as a 95

this one is listed as 97 SE gauges

if you do, I'll trade you my GXE cluster for yours
As far as I know, all of them can be sanded down, and then LED's can be installed to make them whatever color you would like. But to answer your question, yes they are white on GXE's and if I remember right, GLE's too.
check out this for an example of what can be done: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=392026

Maxima Lover, I know the risks involved, I have already tried this once with a extra 5th gen cluster I have, as long as you calibrate the needles before removal and take extra care with the cluster ur gonna keep you should be in good shape
but thanks for the concern
