Car starts poorly, any solutions?

Car sometimes starts poorly and feels that it will almost stall but doesn't. I also noticed that at start, the oil light will flash for few seconds longer than other lights. Any thoughts what this might be?

Weird, but it is happening to me as well. It also is having some rough idle issues. I brought it to the stealership, and they couldnt duplicate the problem, but due to my dirty K&N air filter, they guessed that my MAF might be going out. Not good, o well, that's what AAA, and my extended warranty are for.

I got similar problem, once the engine is started but still cold it might stall while the car is not in motion. Any idea how much is MAF for 2k maxima?

this might not be a direct solution, but my Blehmco Grounding Kit helped out my engine start and smoothed out my idle. Wasn't having noticeable problems to begin with, but there were noticeable improvements.

First off, the oil light thing: your oil level is low. Add some.

The poor starting: if you still have the original battery, it's time to replace it. Yours is four years old and is due.

Another thing you can do is either a Home Depot ground kit or go on ebay and buy one there. It'll help it start faster.

Quick question, if my car starts with one crank and idles smooth, will a grounding kit help anything else?

i replaced the battery a month ago, the oil level is fine as well. Noticed also that sometimes the battery light comes on and only goes off once i rev the engine.

I had the same problem. I also get a huge power drain at 3500 RPM in any gear. I recently had the SES light reset itself (code showed an O2 sensor) but the mechanic found a vacuum leak so he replaced my Plenum. Still crappy performance. They looked today but couldn't find any problem. Told me they want my caar overnight to see what it's like when they start it in the AM. I'm almost ready to get rid of my Max for new Pathy.

I am currently having the same problem. First start of the day is fine but after that the RPM's drop so low sometime sit does stall. I also have to oil light, my oil level is fine. Battery isn't it either. I have the red gel battery. I'm thinking I also have a vacuum leak. How do you figure that out?

Idle is at about 700 rpm, maybe a bit less. Checked the battery with full load the voltage is about 13.5 and without any load its 14. Today again twice the car almost stalled at start but eventually started.
