Somehow, my lower alt bolt has disappeared. THe result is a lost belt. I tried to put a new one on to only discover the lost bolt. I don't seem to have any bolts the right size. 17mm seems too big but 14mm is too small. I'd rather find out the right size and just go get it rather than either buying a bunch or trying one at a time. You guys have 16mm bolts on the max's?

So, what's the size of this lower alternator bolt? Anyone?

Someone can just go out with a socket set and try a 15 or 16mm and let me know which one fits. Or some of you might already know from changing your alt...

 

Wheather or not a socket fits the head doesn't determine the thread pitch.

Go to the dealer on Monday and order a new bolt.
