UDP installed, now i got bad sputtering b/w 4500-6000rpms

well, long story short and 17 hours later, i got my underdrive pulley installed. now i have a few problems:
- BAD sputtering between 4500-6000 rpms in all gears except 1st
- Codes for the pulley position sensor and knock sensor.

The only thing I thought it could be is that the belts are too tight (there is no play in them at all), but I also am not sure if they would have an effect on anything.

Any help would be appreciated. I may be making a trip to Ft. Lauderdale on the 23rd, so maybe some of us can meet up to check this crap out. Thanks again.

well, yes, its from Ebay, but it is identical to the Unorthodox one (ie. appearance, weight, size).

before you all freak out, i just wanted to know if my idea about the belt tension might have any effect...?

and yes, oil is leaking, but that has been that way from long ago, in fact, the entire side of the block is sopping. Check my cardomain for those sweet pics...

I bought one of those (off ebay) before I purchased a motostorm pulley and had the same side affects as you. I still have it in the garage collecting dust. I would just go and buy Motostorm for $90.

Dude you'd better replace that oil seal before you engine craps it.. you'll end up starving the engine of oil or spewing oil all over your clutch

Take the timing ring off the UDP and place it on the stock pulley. Check to see if the 3 teeth are correctly positioned. I bought an rvm and you guessed it, it's COLLECTING DUST! Why? because the ring is mis cut, and there is no brass sleeve. Of course both of these can be fixed. Probably worth it since I paid close to nothing for it anyhow.

you could have a new timming ring cut, say from a local machine shop. Auto parts stores have sleeve repair kits. Or try (and this has been tried before to no avial im sure) to have the company send you the proper parts.

if you have a hook up at like some metal fab place not much. I really have no idea. I have been meaning to check on the sleeve though, but never have.
