Spoiler FIx

Had a question.....how do you fix the factory third brake light in the spolier? My 95 SE has all the lights work except the CHMSTL light in the spoiler, and I didn't see factory spoiler repair in the stickys or the FAQs........

Is there a way to do it without involvement of the "stealership" or a new spoiler?
Thanks

Victory autowreckers hasn't had a maxima in years. I don'e even think they have a car newere than a 1988 model year ford or something. I was there a year ago and they didn't have a single import car in there. Just take out the light and buy a new one. There are 2 screws holding it in. If you have a small ratchet or one of those horizontal screwdrivers it comes right out.

go to maxima.org and look through the FAQ's there. a write up is in there under maintenance. usually just a 22 ohm resistor needs to be replaced.

You cantry Spoilerlight.com and see if they have it, BUT if your CHMSL has THREE screws, they do NOT have that light in stock. Thay are unable to find a manufacturer for that particular type. I just found this out yesterday. Last time I emailed Courtesy Nissan, they wanted $155.43 plus shipping for it...

Damm! Three screws. I guess that means I'm screwed(no pun intended). But if I can't get them from a junkyard or Ebay , then what? Am I doomed to an aftermarket spoiler ? ( the stealership is not an option-ever)

My aftermarket spoiler had 8 holes. Now I hope the aftermarket spoiler I'm getting to replace that one has 8. Or atleast holes that line up.
