Throttle only opening 87% and pedal position sensor issue.
Throttle only opening 87% and pedal position sensor issue.
Well, here's the problem. When running full open throttle the car will sometimes cut out leaving me with no control of the throttle. The car will idle but not rev. When it happens I have to shut it down and do the throttle position reset to get it running again. The SES light is also on. It's been happening at the track, usually around the top of 2nd gear. Very embarrasing!
I had a tech at the dealership where I work pull the code with his OBD scanner. He said it had something to do with the pedal position sensor. He also said the throttle was only opening to 87% with the peddle to the floor. My S-AFC2 shows the throttle opening to 100% but the tech said the OBD scanner was better to go by. He was unfamiliar with Nissans drive by wire system and couldn't tell me anything else.
I have an appointment with Nissan but wanted to see if anyone here had any ideas.
Thanks

You'd need the TS ecu to let it open all the way.
