AC Compressor Clutch

Ok so im on my way to the shop last week to change my struts and get new tires....... i start my car and start driving, not even 10 feet from where i drove off from i hear this wierd *** noise, it sounded like a chain popped and was draggin on the floor, i couldnt figure out what it was,, but when i turned my ac on, i realized the air wasnt getting cold..... so i figured the noise had something to do with the ac... i bring it to the shop and tell my mechanic about the noise. so i start the car for him, no noise,, then after a while it started, he didnt have to hear the noise for 3 seconds to tell me it was the ac clutch, brought it to another guy and in a heartbeat he told me the same thing.. So i have to get a compressor (junyard or rebuilt) which way should i go, and how much should this run me,, parts and labor wise? i just dropped 500 in the damn car last week, im trynna shop around for the best prices....
and also, are thes interchangeable,, like could i get one from a 94?

p.s. is it just me or does the stock suspension suck on our cars,.. i feel every god damn bump or line in the road...

I can't comment on your a/c but if you feel every crack on the road, it might be time to change your struts/shocks. If you have stock height and don't want to drop it, I would recommend tokico HP's (aka blues) with stock springs.
