Warranty issue, any ideas???

Last week I took my car to the dealership to get checked out for the ABS light. Since my car was under warranty I told them I didn't want to spend any money, and only to fix it if its fully covered. Yesterday Nissan called and said it was a bad sensor, it had just come in, and that it would be covered under warranty and ready to pick up today. Today they called and told me that since my car was lowered it won't be covered under warranty because the suspension was installed incorrectly and cut the wire causing the problem. Now I know thats not the case because the light was on before the suspension was even installed. They said it would now cost $215 to fix, so I told them to forget it and I would pick up the car. Now they're charging me $65 for checking out the problem. Any suggestions???? Thanks in advance!

Many dealers will use the "mods" rule when it comes to warranty work. Try another one you may get lucky.

Tell them to PROVE that the suspension caused the problem, and if they can't prove it tell them to **** off and fix the car.

I think I'm going to have to call nissan north america tomorrow, there's no way I'm paying $65 just to pick up my car the way I brought it in when its under warranty. Hopefully I'll have some luck with that.

it should be covered under warranty but there isnt really a way to get out of paying the $65 (for the hour of work they did)

I managed to ruin mine....

When I put on my D2's I forgot to zip tie my ABS lines and they rubbed on the control arms.... after a month they both wore through the insulation and ruined the sensors.

I am lucky enough that my brother is my mechanic so he "forgot" to tell them that my car is slammed and I am a retard... so it cost me $50 for new ones (deductable).

Go in and ask to see how the suspension MOD but the wire. If it did then you're out of luck. If they can't prove it then you have your agrument when you write Nissan demanding that they fix the problem and credit back the 65.00 you laid out.
