I have a 1990 Nissan Maxima Brougham with the Bose 4 speaker system. I just bought a tape adapter to play CD's and the sound is mono, only coming out the 2 left speakers. This is weird because when i play the radio it works on all 4 speakers. I was wondering if anyone knows what is wrong or how I can fix it??

You said the radio works in stereo, does the tape player? If the tape deck works in stereo as well, there is something wrong with your adapter. Also, try using your new gear in a different car, see if it does the same thing.

Yes, the radio works fine, sound comes from all 4 speakers. I tried using a regular tape and it only comes out the 2 right hand speakers. I also tried using my adapter in a friends car, and it is fine. I have no clue what is wrong, and would really appreciate some help.

I jsut told this to another guy with your same problem. Go to www.davescoolstuff.com. They fix Bose systems and I've sent my deck to him before and it's all fixed. He has a 24 hour turnaround time and if you pay a little extra you can overnight it to him and have him overnight it back to you making it only two days before you get it back.
