Just installed the above FSTB last night. Initial impression while not on car was the bar seems well made. Had to dremel out a metal bracket on the driver's side strut housing to get the strut bar on. After the bar is on and everything's tightened I banged on it with my hand and noticed flexing...made me wonder how it'd hold up to much greater stress from cornering force hmmm!!!

Took it out for test runs both on twisty back roads and long sweeper on/off ramps. Yes there Is a welcome difference...but not that noticeable At All or as much as I'd thought. I frequently love to drive hard on any curves I could safely do so and made sure to put the same amount of stress on the front suspension for these test runs...to the point where my fairly new Potenza 225/55 Z left front tire squeal on one right corner.

All of this lead me to wonder how much the FSTB is being over praised on the Maxima. You typically wouldn't notice anything under most driving condition. Only when the left/right front suspension travel a certain amount of distance, hence strut tower flexing, from heavy cornering would you then begin to notice the subtle effect of FSTB. May be all the "wow" reviews on this board raised my expection level too high?

Anyway for ~47 dollars I still think it was worth it for the noticeable but small handling improvement...but definitely didn't live up to all the hype. Possibly other bars yield better result???
