Is it necessary to reset ECU after installing highflow intake

I'm about to install a Stillen style high flow intake on my 96 Max. Is it necessary to reset the ECU so it will "re-learn" the new airflow intake rate and so it won't throw any engine trouble codes, or is this unecessary?
