Engine Surge

Acceleration feels sluggish, and then all of a sudden the engine will surge forward. Usually happens when when I'm merging onto the E-way, while I'm speeding up... Has anyone had this problem. Could use some advice....

If you are 5 speed could be the clutch slipping, if autotragic then the tranny. Worst case scenario could be cams, what's the mileage on the odometer?

No codes, so even if there wasn't a CEL, you still pulled codes right?

Did you have enough fuel in the tank?

Pulled the codes and got nothing. Full tank of gas (BP 93).
