My maxima has a 4 speaker Bose system with radio and tape deck. The radio works and sounds comes from all 4 speakers but when i play tapes it only works in mono, coming out only the two right hand speakers. Can someone please tell me if they know what is wrong or how i can fix it. Thanks

I had the same problem with my tape deck. I believe it is the tape heads that are misaligned. It started as you stated with sound only coming from one side when playing tapes and than progressed quickly to full blown static coming from the speakers. No one around here wants to fix it since it is Bose and they claim they would have to "send it off". Your best bet is trying to pick up another one on E-bay from someone who will guarantee it to work or just add a changer.

I've never had that problem with mine, but then again I have the multimedia head unit with the CD player. You can go to www.davescoolstuff.com and wriote him an e-mail explaining your problem and he will tell you how it can be fixed. You send your deck to him and he'll fix it. You can trust him. I sent my CD player from my Bose system to him and he fixed it and sent it back. All the work was done in less than two days. I paid a little extra to have him overnight it back to me though. I would try this first before buying a new deck off e-bay. Hope I was some help to you.
