i'm not an expert, but 60ft time seems kinda little high.
if you practice more and get better launch skill, you should be getting
better numbers.

for comparison....I ran my 2k2 6spd a few months ago...mods were only intake/catback....full interior including stereo equipment....1/4 tank of gas...but in 55 degree weather..here is my slip

Nice numbers. They don't have 1/4 runs? I am waiting till Sept. when it gets cooler to run my car. I think that your numbers will be better when it cools down. Try to run with a 1/4 tank of gas. Don't eat.
. Take anything thats not screwed down out of the car. The lighter the car the better the numbers. Good luck Warren
yea i know. i could not get traction for anything. i was launching between 2-3k rpm's any opinions, what should i be launching at? also it was a 45 minute drive to the track on the highway. god those numbers suck

OK, last friday, I also made 2 runs in 90 degree heat and high humidity at Maryland International Speedway, and these where my numbers, I also will run it again in late September and see what the cooler air does for me. No tweaks or tricks, drove it right off the street and right up to the line...

another thing i just remembered, and very well could be a reason as to why those of you with auto could be quicker is if i remember correctly you guys have an lsd where as it was not an option for us manual guys. at least for me it wasn't. that would significantly improve my 60' or at least a little.
oh and as like a refrence as to the track there was an 05 mustang gt auto running i think like 9.3/9.4 and a camaro ss 6spd running 9s he couldn't hook up for anything. and i know the mustang had a k/n CAI

1/4 time is 14.36 @94.99
and i did drag my car with 20's last summer also and got a 14.7 with a higher trap speed do to a larger diameter of a wheel

I was fine with what u said until i read the "roof dingy". Sorry, but my max looks good with the roof rack, its my opinion and everyone else's who sees it. Its cool though, its just ur always schooling everyone here cause u got the know how and that hot ride, but it was my chance to give u a taste of your own medicine. Hope you enjoyed. No pun intended and u shouldn't have a problem hitting 13's, from ur setup, u should be able to rock out a 13.8 or quicker if u can lauch ur max
Key to dragging the max for an auto.
With the 18's, u need to seriously drop the tire pressure in the front wheels to about 15-20 psi. Stage the car at around 2000-2500 rpms. Now depending on your tire pressure and if u did a burnout to warm them up. Chances are u can rip right out of the hole, but with so much torque our cars have it'll be trial and error.
Or stage up to about 2000 rpms and when the 3rd light comes on, release the brake and feather the pedal, kinda like how maxmale mentioned about feathering the cluth. Our cars are capable of hitting 13's with minor mods, but to get there u have to learn to use all the power the car has out the hole.
Key to dragging the max for an auto.

Try it like this: With the car in first gear and running, push the clutch pedal to the floor. Now let it out slowly until it starts to engage. You should feel the car trying to go forward slightly. Since I don't have the manual on my Max, I don't know what a good launching rpm for this car would be, but try different rpms. The higher the rpm, the more feathering.
Again, you wan't the clutch pedal positioned right as you can feel it grabbing, but not moving the car forward. Then, on the last yellow light, start letting out on the clutch even more, but not all at once, while pressing the gas pedal in simultaneously. Gradually let it out until finally you are moving without wheel spin. I hope that all makes sense.
If done correctly, you should improve your 60 foot times dramatically and see a gain in the 1/4 mile as well. Nitto drag radials work well to. I had a pair of nitto drag radials on 15 in light weight wheels for my 99 Civic Si and I would only use them at the track. Good Luck.

alright times were actually worse than wed. my trap speed went up 3mph though. how is that possible. i didn't even get a single 9.5 i did get a 9.6 and a couple 9.7. i went up against a new se-r altima tonight. there pretty quick. he actually beat me but only because of his reaction time. everything else i had he was also an auto. every one at the track was complaining about the condition of it tonight. people were saying there times were as much as .5 off. my highest trap for the night wa a 77.96, best r/t for the night was a .765, best 60' was 2.440, well that about does it. except for this guy in a modded acura integra gsr wanted to run also. so i let him. i even let him stage his rear wheels to my front. yea he got smoked. by the end of 2nd i had a good car length on him. i know he had intake, exhaust and wheels, and the exhaust was header back.so that is pretty much it for tonight. flame away.
