Thats the thing about manuals, it's harder to get consistent times. Don't give up. I also know how humid it can get in South Carolina as well.

Just imagine what the Maxima would do if they made an SE-R edition. Hmmm...

i know i would have gotten him in the quarter with ease. i just cannnot for the life of me get traction in 1st or 2nd gear. it just spins like crazy. i have nitto 555. i think i need to go with some drag radials. on light weight 15"ers

Maxmale, overall still looks like some good runs based on temp/humidity and your tire issue, I personaly would reduce the air pressure in your fromt tires, or did you do that already? Anyway, thanks for sharing the info...

Seems about right, 25-30 psi is recommended for cold. Also does your manual have the optional LSD, may be the cause of all the wheel spin which would also increase if you tire threads are getting down in size?

Wont work, smallest wheel we can fit is 17" I believe. Ive looked into slicks for later on down the road once I have headers and more mods but u will have to run em on 17s.

alright well i removed all stereo equipment that wasn't factory installed and i removed the plastic piece right behind the front fender under the car and made a custom piece of aluminum sheeting to replace it to cut down on drag i also removed that black piece of the intake where you guy's with the cai's filter goes(trying to open the bay up to get better airflow. i'll post pic's of the aluminum underguard in a few.it looks pretty good.

Agree, those Y-pipes ride low, when I put my car on a lift to give it an oil change, first thing I noticed under the car where scrapes on the Y-Pipe only, source???

If he can't back it up with a slip, don't mean $hit...

PS, tell your cousin I ran a 13.2 when my max was stock, he has my word on it!!!

Thats kinda harsh to come at him like that, he wasnt trying to prove to you that his cousin DID in fact run the time. Just sharing what he heard. I had a slip for my 14.3 run and people still called BS.

Edit: Just found this on altimas.net. Must be the guy you raced maxmale.

That was a 1/8 mile track. I think maxmale would have beat him on the 1/4 mile track. I will be meeting maxmale on my drive to Florida and maybe depending on my time limits, I might go to the track with him.

I know what you mean about having slips and still get BS from some members. Warren

Wasn't trying to be HARSH, and no offense was meant...
I was just doing my Rap Ryme thingy...

However I do like facts just as much as the next guy...

And if you did produce a time slip with a 14.3, I would believe you and discount haters who called it BS

Later Bro...

I'm anxious to see some more numbers. As I posted yesterday, the guy that was on Cardomain from Azntuners.com had a SWEET quarter mile run. I watched the clip yesterday and it kinda gave me a RUSH!!!!! It was the first time I had seen it. I'm not sure if he used the nitrous in that run, but he got 13.9 and smoked that classic ride! Check out the clip of his burnout. It was CRAZY!!!!!!! I remember his page but he took all the pics off which makes me think something went wrong with the set-up, but it's still on the website. I believe he had the GReddy, Injen, Pulley and nitrous with 2 different "shots". He said on the his previous page on Cardomain that he achieved somewhere in the 12's, I think.

Colder weather will definitely make a difference. I've been wanting to throw my stocks shoes back on and add a couple more performance mods (possibly nitrous or chip) and make a run. I can definitely feel a difference, NO QUESTION, with just the GReddy Exhaust and Injen intake. In cold weather, my Max with burn the tires very nicely......Those clips show you that the MAX can perform seriously and can probably achieve significanlty more. These companies need to step it up for the 6th Gen, including superchargers, etc.... We are will to buy these aftermarket modifications, but for some reason they don't step up quickly. Anyway, good luck with any additional runs and anyone who does have times, post 'em. PEACE OUT.....

You have to find a track to run the 1/4 mile if you are going to spend money on slicks. Warren

I watched a few of those races and he's trapping around 104 mph. Now I know our cars stock will trap at around 94-96mph between 14.2 - 14.7. Was he spraying, most likely not, if so, it had to be a small shot, maybe a 25 shot.

But i haven't dragged my car yet with mods besides an intake so we have yet to discover his secret for breaking into the 13's

are you serious? U think bolt ons will make you trap 10 MPH higher. Good luck with that. Its clearly obvious the guy has nitrous.

thats a good question, modding a N/A car with all the goodies companies have to offer, and maybe a chip, i think it could be possible to trap 10 mph higher then stock. None of us know the potential of what our cars are capable of doing

But if he was spraying, the times don't look so hot for a 700 dollar mod, even if it was a small shot of nos.

One of my 4th gens, stock ran a 16.5 and then with intake, y-pipe and exhaust i managed to shave almost 1.3 seconds of my quarter mile time and trap 6mph quicker.
Why would we mod if we can't get quicker times and higher traps?

Maybe he does have the jet chip with advanced timing, higher rev limiter and no governer, and thats why he's fast

So who's next with the Jet chip, cuase chances the chip doesn't do any of that

U will be quicker but not that much. I have a pretty good idea of how my car performs and how it will perform after mods, its very comparable to the 5.5 gen and altimas except we weight about 200 lbs more. I say the guys running a 100 shot and doesnt have a clue how to launch the car.
