I was just looking at Gr8bone's Wash and Wax Day Pics and saw the '98 SE with the Carbon Fiber Headlight Covers .

I want some now, but I have a couple of questions first. At night, can you leave them on and still have enough light (the 2kSE had the lights on and it looked like there was enough light going through where they can be left on)? Also, where can I get them? How much do they cost?

Thanks,
-Nick

P.S. Gr8bone, the '98 SE looks awesome with the 2k rims. I'm considering upgrading myself!

i used to have those, they're made by GTS. i wouldn't recommend them though... they just make your car look ricey and cheap, which's why i went the route i did. i ditched them and put on a set of clear corners. in fact, if i could find them, if u want them that bad, i could prolly ship them for you. once again, that's if i can find them. i wouldn't charge ya except for shipping....

With cool blues behind the covers there is enough light going through to shine on the road. It basically looks like stock bulbs shining through. I know I never get highbeamed after passing a car with my covers on. But I wouldn't recommend them to be on if you're driving the backroads and need to see the deer on the sides of the road.

We both got ours at carparts.com. They go for $50 but if you wait for the right coupon to come out they could be as much as half off! We used a $50 off $100 at the time.

Yeah I'm really bummed I had to put the 2kse rims on my 98se to trade it in and get the full trade-in value for my car since I had sold my 98se rims before getting my borbets. They do look really cool on the 98se and my friend John always taunts me about having them on his car and not mine! My ultimate plan was to use the 16" rims in the winter so I didn't have to use my 15" steel rims but oh well. Life sucks!
If you are looking for SE rims check out copartfinder.com
You might be able to find a hot deal there.

Thanks Gr8bone!! I think they'll make my car look awesome!! I'm also going to add a set of driving lights, so with the stock fogs and driving lights, I should definately have enough light. I don't drive on too many back roads. If needed though, they just pop right off right?
