Idle speed control code "how to fix?"

Well, my maxima will never start and i am giving up hope. so i am working on my uncles car and the "idle speed control" is on. How can i fix this problem with out spending too much money?

Clean your IACV, might be clogged to freakin hell, I get that code, but I dont have a IACV at ALL, it shouldnt keep ur car from starting if you hold the gas open a little bit, try that.

I think your going to have to replace the IACV. The ECU is throwing the code because it's detected electronically that it's not working. The ECU can't see that it's dirty. If the valve was just completely gunked up you'd have idle control problems, but no error code.
