what's the problem? the problem is you're puttin neon on the car . but other than that, check the fuses in he fuse panel. you should always have spare fuses on hand.

Wait I did the same thing well sorta...
I just popped a fuse

Basically I was wiring leds into the vents (rice i knows) and I wanted to make sure that the wire was hot behind the cig lighter
So what I did was I touched the led wire to the cig and it sparked and i blew out my fuse you should be fine

The fuse is located under there dash about where your left knee would be...(hey that rhymes hehe)

Here is the link to my post...

Hope that helps...

Never!!! After the first time I blew the fuse to my cig lighter, I went out and bought a whole pack of 10 fuses just for the lighter.

With facts being given, using a gun can give the same effects but much quicker. (no offense to smokers)

Question:

1. How Can i wire my LED lights using the 12V provided by my cig lighter?

Which is the + and - ?

2. What does the word ground mean referring to swithes?

3. If someone provides me step by step detail, w/ pictures il send them 3 or 5 dollars through paypal.

Is the plastic part actually broken or are you simply not getting power to the 12V outlet? As others suggested, it could be a fuse, but if that doesn't work, take apart that part of the console and see if you damaged the back of the outlet.

What circuit were you trying to tap into? Were you going to have them on a seperate switch, or maybe on with the parking lights?

Also, take your time and type this stuff out in english. We can answer your questions better if we understand what you're saying.

Enjoy your neons!

ground is usually gunna be black color wire, if im not mistaken... which is "-"
So you splice into the red or orange wire from the cig lighter, thats the +.
and for the -, which is black/ground, you can put it under a screw or to anything thats metal. and there you go it should work.
