My power seat is no longer functioning 100% It will recline via one switch and the other will raise and lower the seat, but no longer adjust it foward and back.

I checked the track and nothing is stuck in it, and the connections look good. I'm assuming it is bad motor. Has this happend to anyone else?

Also, where do you think the best place to order the part would be? I ran by the dealer and they said if it is the motor it would be about $400 for the part and labor!!! That is freekin crazy.

Junk yard + you undoing a few bolts and splicing some wires.

 

It also could be a bad switch. Is there a way to remove the switches and clean the contacts?

 

I think the verdict is a bad slide motor in the seat. I guess I may browse the junk yards or just go buy the motor and do it myself. Thanks for you help.
