Selling the max

i will be posting it in the for sale forums.. i will be parting with my baby for 12k it has 85k miles on it and is freshly blessed with tranny, clutch and some more goodies such as polished valve cover and painted spark cover and some goodies inside... it hurts to get rid of my max but something wicked this way comes and it is vq powered.

2 questions..

anyone know where i can get one of those black rubber things that go under the bolts for the valve cover there are supposed to be 10 i lost one so i need to buy one.

and anyone know if i will need a new rubber gasket for the valve cover??

1. Yes, you are supposed to replace the valve cover gasket if you pull the valve cover.

2. You can buy individual grommets from your dealer, or you can buy sets of a few from autozone/rockauto type places.

Why would you need a tranny and clutch at 85K or earlier? I don't think you can get $12K for your car.

the reason i needed a new tranny was because a ACT stage 3 clutch was installed on my car when i asked for act stage 2 and i launched very hard at the track a few times then went to race my freinds mustang and blew the synchros it is a strong clutch so now i is cryo treatdd and there is an exedy stage 2 much better

Why would you be mentioning your racing of the Maxima when you state you are going to be selling it here? That would make your car less desirable. Unless of course you have the Maxima SiR, in which case you'd be giving the car away at 12k.

you only need one - but you never said which valve cover gasket(front or rear) you were going to replace... you do understand that there are 2 valve covers right?

Thats the left side - so you need the left side gasket.
