getting rid of my c.a.i. but have lost the stock intake... PLEASE HELP!!!

Okay Ive been reading up on the c.a.i.'s for 4th gen maximas and Im now
starting to feel the slower throttle response. After having an Injen before
and feeling good gaims in acceleration in the past winter season I figured
Id get another c.a.i. Injen style for my new max. I did this like 4 months ago
and I completely regret it. Injen style c.a.i. do a damn good job during the
fall and winter season but suck in the summer. So Ive decided Im gonna
sell it and switch off, but Ive lost my stock intake.. So I need help deciding
what to do.. 1. Spend a shyt load of cash on a stck nissan intake. or
2. Buy a hybrid intake or 3. Place racing style c.a.i. all choices having a K&N.
Ive heard good on things about the hybrid but I wanted to see what yall
think about the TRUE C.A.I. as everyone keeps callin it. Please Help and
VOte or DIe.. J/K but for reals please vote. THAnks

haha...funny, obviouslly you misunder stood. I'm saying it's jsut a plastic box, meaning there's really no need for brand new one. It's not like its a KS, or 02 sensor which can all go bad. if you know soemthing will work regardless if its used or new, why not go with used since it doesn't really make a difference since it will NOT fail???

if you want to use the tupperware, go right ahead, make sure to make another one for enomik tho

Any open intake will suck badly during summer since it pulls in air from the hot surroundings. Hot air = lower dense air = poor performance. But since you lost the stock intake, you can try converting that into a HAI (get rid of the long intake pipe), then fabricate yourself a nice heat shield. There's a write up somewhere about this....I advice you to search the forum.

:o)

Option 5:

Buy the 'Pancake' K+N filter from Stillen. It's around $3500 - but they throw in a free SuperCharger. Then you will actually feel gains.
