steering wheel vibrating

steering wheel vibrating

hey guys, I recently started to feel my sterring wheel giving off moderate vibration at speeds of 60 mph and up, it doesnt happen all the time, its intermitent. DO you know what coudld it be, mb alignment?

Probably not alignment issues. You have to have a really bad aligment problem for it to start shaking the vehicle. Sounds like possibly a bad wheel balance or possibly warping rotors.

I have that same issue. Was told my tires are the problem. Replaced all four with brand new Yokohamas and balanced. Still vibrations from 60 and up. I know my front rotors are warped, would that cause vibration even though I am not applying brakes?

Not everybody can balance tires well. It appears that Maximas are wery sensetive to this matter. That's why i do not trust many places that i've gone for balancing.

Balancing a tire is done with a computer and a rotating thingy, there isn't really a way to balance a tire badly unless the guy completely screws it up.
