Finally got my Ksports installed.. Pics inside.

Finally got em installed. I get some noise from when I brake or when I turn at
a stop or reverse but no biggie, Im sure it can be fixed. I also threw
off my allighnment, My stearing wheels tilts slightly to the left.
Is that normal, like can an allighnment fix it or is it somthing I should worry
about? Please let me know. Anyway over all Im happy I just hope I
dont get anymore problems and that they last for a long a$$ time. As
you will see in the pictures Im rollin on my 17s cause I bent one of my
Volks, Its already been ordered but its on back order. Should be in mid september.
Well heres some pics I took last night, Im still learnin how to use my digital
camera so be aware that some of these pics came out blurry.

Just plain ol' SICK MAN Nice job. Yes the alignment will fix the steering. But I also read somewhere in the general forum about a way to fix the noise.

Looks great, I am thinking about getting those KSports also but I don't want to lower it too much due to the pot holes around Philadelphia. Can you tell me how much you lowered it by and what's the highest ride height you can set the coilovers to be?

check your tire pressure and if that doesnt do it get your wheels balanced, should straighten it out.

Def get an alignment, when i did mine, it got way off, i got the lifetime alignment from firestone, and they did a perfect job, didnt even care that i was dropped like no other, but remember to tell them where the camber plates are, cuz the guys at firestone didnt know, but looks great man!

P.S. Remember to tighten EVERYTHING down, some things were lose on mine, and were making a ton of noises, so i went and tightened them, and 99% of the noises are gone, i love it!

Looks awesome. Having those Volks back should have you looking

For the pulling issue, it's likely radial pull caused by the tire. Directonal tires tend to have this problem more than others. Mine pulls to the right also and road force balancing hasn't helped.

Thanks for the compliments... Im getting an alighnment as soon as I get my volks back
on. Im still gonna get a few things adjusted as far as damper settings, and it seems like
the passenger side is slightly higher than the drivers side so Im gonna lower it a lil bit more.

Black Maxima:
Thanks, cant wait to see your max on the ksports.

tauLiFE45:
Im not to sure the highest ride hight but I think I could still lift my car a whole inch or
inch in a half more. As far as how low it goes, when we first installed the front one's
my lip was one finger length of the floor.. Lets just say you wont need bags.. So Im gonna
guess and say some where between the highest being 2.00" and the lowest being 3.50" inchs ride.

1FSTMAX:
Damn I love your max.. Im already saving to buy another front lip and getting
it painted so Ill always have that one set aside for shows or events. What are
SFC's, what do they do and how much do they go for? Im might look into em.

Mr.Duck:
THanks for the advice.. I made the mistake of twisting the strut body all the
way into the orange strut housing thinking It was part of preloading so the
front ones go extremely low.. Im almost at my highest setting ride hight on the
fronts. After installing on of the rears we realized they werent sopposed to go
all the way in cause then its impossible to raise it back up so the rears where
corrected. Well I guess Im good for now, but when I ever I get more time Im
gonna check on the tightning so hopefully I get rid of some noises.

86maxima96:
Stiff, real stiff.. Smooth but ruff on pot wholes or harsh bumps on the highways..
The handling is great.. Its fun takin corners now.

Well thanks again everyone. I will post mor pics once the volks come in. I might
be in a show on the 27th and if I get my volks on temparely I'll take some pix.

Just curious, did you see about getting that bent wheel fixed?
Wheel Technologies here in town fixes bent wheels.

Looks great, reminds me of my car on D2's. . . reminds me of my D2 coilovers, which I believe are pretty similar to the Ksports; leading me to believe you might experience much more noise issues as times goes on.

Looks great man. Looks like you've got them set around the height I started with mine (Ksports). I had some noise as well that went away with some adjustments and grease on the perches as others have suggested. Word to the wise though: I started to get right side CV joint noise when carrying a passenger on that height on BRAND NEW axles/joints less than 2000 miles after the drop. I've since raised them as far as I can go (dependent on the threads) and it still looks awesome but I haven't had the noise from my joint yet. Good luck, car looks awesome.

EDIT: another thing, I was seriously scraping everything in sight with that height. Favorite scraping points were my stock B-pipe and engine cradle brace.

Thanks everyone for the props.. Im hoping to enter my car into a show this weekend
but I really wanna hit up a Max Meet thats going down this weekend.. Either way Im
ready to roll out and put the ksports to good use.

2 Da Max:
Thanks man, your max looks good on those 2k se wheels as well.
Yup, Im already seeing the bad things of being so low but the handeling is so worth it.
My lip is all scuffed up on the bottom but that dont faze me, as long as its no noticeable.
Thats why Im saving up for my back up front lip, So I could roll around knowing I'll have
another Lip waiting for me come any shows or events.

FLAVOR_24/7:
Thanks for the info.. If its cheap enough I'll get it fixed and make it my fith wheel, LOL.. J/k
If not I aint trippin, It'll make a good room decoration. Definitly gonna check into it
though.

gtr_rider:
Definitly agree. I mean the 2k se wheels are sweet, but they really look alot better
with out the cap. I wanted to paint mines gunmetal like yours but I figure they dont
look that bad silver. Gunmetal is my favorite color for rims.

dukelubas:
Thanks for the good info.

How does SFC's help you out in not scaping. I thought they reduce your ride height clearance even more.
