how long do shocks usually last?

My car has 100k on it, and I'm getting new shocks soon. I was going with Konis orignally, but now I'm wondering...how long do they acutally last? if they Konis last for 200,000 miles and my car won't acutally last that long, is it worth it? Now I am looking at the tokicos...who knows now
