light weight under drive crank pulley

im considering this mod but I have heard it is not a good idea with high demands on the electrical system (mainly large stereo)

I have 2 amps one is rated 850w roughly (monoblock) and the other is 111w by 4 ch (both RMS ratings)

with my system demands is this mod a bad idea? It seemed to me maybe they were talking about those huge sick competition sound systems that are far burlier than mine. not sure?

any suggestions?

Do you have any other performance mods? Generally the UDP mod should be the last mod you do to your car to try to squeeze every last bit of power out of it because you wont notice a difference with it and it is money best spent on something else. Even if you just have a fairly small system I still wouldn't recommend doing it

UDP won't even come close to taking even .1 off your 1/4, so yes I'm sure it won't make a difference. How much faster were you trapping after putting yours on? I would attribute it to either better weather conditions or you just improved as a driver (faster reaction, 60' times, etc...).

thanks for the info fellas, ya while it is relatively cheap (50-60 bones on ebay) I would rather spend that on other mods (like filling up my gas tank @$%&$*%$^ gas prices)

wow, I figured their theory on lightening up the drive line was pretty solid though, some of them are touting 15hp, of course every single mod on ebay states 15hp gains

kinda like my cold air supposedly was supposed to "improve" my gas mileage? yea freakin right. . . shes a mondo gas hog now.

try it urself, everyone has different opinions as u have seen in this thread, one said it works and he stands by his statement, someone else said waste of money, formulate ur own opinion, but make sure u get a good udp, some leak or some sh*t like that. also, i dont think it "makes horsepower", it "frees up horsepower". either way 15 hp sounds crazy for udp
