Loud squeal, one of my pulleys?
Hey y'all, the other day I started up my max and had a loud squeal, what I originally though may be a power steering issue, but it is relieved within a minute of starting/driving. After sitting for a while I notice it happens when I start it, if I rev around 2-3k when cold. I'm starting to figure it might be a pulley? It's so tight down there though (I'm used to a 4.6 v8 where it's wide open) that it's hard to tell.
Anyone else have/fix this issue in the past?
Thanks

Yes I am having a similar problem at the moment. Its either a quick squeal noise at start up or if im driving and put the A/c on it will start squealing endlessly till i turn a/c (Squeal starts during acceleration sometimes). What could this be?

AC clutch or compressor bearings.

Those serpentine belts need to be pretty tight and any looseness will result in
a squeal on startup or when additional stress is placed on the belt, e.g.the A/C
is engaged. Push on the belt to see if any deflection, then tighten the belt by
turning the tensioner pulley adjusting rod AFTER loosening the bolt on the pulley.
