I was looking at these wheels on Ebay to put on my 2005 Maxima for the winter. Has anybody used these? If so, are they any good??? I was going put put a set of Nokins on them...

Thanks in advance for any information...

Those wheels should work just fine. You'll probably be able to find nissan center caps on ebay to stick in those.

I'd look in the wheel classifieds. Very possible, you could find 5th gen wheels and tires for around that price.

Good choice with the Nokians...I have Nokian Haakapeliita RSI's and I think they handle awesome in the snow. I used to have Blizzaks and there is no comparison between the two IMO. My Mom has Haakapeliita's on her Subie and we might end up getting some for my Dad's Accord too.

Im considering those on my stock SE 5spokes, but wasnt sure on how they would handle the snow because they are considered "performance" winter tires.

Bingo. I have a set of M3s. Far better than any all season, but certainly not the best snow tire, though maybe I should have gone with 215s instead of 225.

Any suggestions on these A/S Tires for winter???

I have a 2004 Maxima SE 6spd/MT and looking to replace the stock Goodyear RSA's hopefully before winter. I was looking at either of these two tires and was curious if any has had good/bad with them. I live in Colorado and don't get much snow, mostly blackice (i know, no tire is great on ice). I'll be using the stock rims and 245/45/18's........

1) Continental ContiExtremeContact
(I've read on TireRack these can be a nightmare to balance)

Or

2) Avon Tech M550 A/S

Any suggestions or thoughts???

Thanks....

I know in my area we'll get a decent amount of snow in the winter, but its mostly the cold weather and light snow i gotta worry about. Will 235s be ok in the snow even if they are winter tires?? I really dont want to go back to 215s with a hard compound, id rather have a stronger grip on the dry surfaces.

I'm going to be selling my oem 6 spokes off a 2000 SE. They are in great shape (minor dings at best). I am waiting until Oct 6th to list them, so if you are interested email me. jpbrennick@leggmason.com

No hijack intended, but is there a 16" version of the wheels mentioned above? I thought I've seen them on a 2000 but they could have been 17s

casper- I am looking for 450. Potenzas are mounted, but probably nearing their end.

Kobalt - I only know of 17" version of these. The 16"s from 2000 I think were 5 spoke only.
