Winter tire experiences

Anyone have any winter tire experiences with Dunlop Winter Maxx or Michelin X-ice Xi3 tires?

I've used the Dunlop Winter Sport 3D. Worked really well, I only went with that because I wanted to at least maintain a V speed rating.

No experience with those specific tires, but I feel any dedicated winter tire will do better in the snow/ice than all season tires.

Just got Dunlop Wintersport 4D off tirerack.com. They're "performance winter" so not as mushy as regular snow tires when driving on dry pavement. We've only had one snow storm so far this year and they did great. Felt like a new car really. I've noticed these do great in the rain too.

Tried both tires, both offers great grip, but quite pricey. Right now I'm using Nitto tires SN2, almost the same performance, but a bit cheaper.
