Sick of Warped Rotors. How to fix permanently?

Ok, I've got an 02SE. I've got about 112,000KM's on the car and the rotors are warped for the 3rd time. The first time I replaced them, the second time I turned them. This time I want to actually fix the problem. I always check my lug nut torque, so that's not the problem.

So, my questions is: How do I permenantly fix the problem? I'm opening to replacing the rotors and calipers if that's what I need to do. However, I don't want to run off and spend $2k on a big brake kit if the rotors still warp.

So, I guess starting from the cheapest options:
1) Do the Brembo/Stillen drilled rotors warp?
2) How about using hub centric rings and the cobra rotors with 300zx calipers do these warp? (can you still get these)
3) Will the Wilwood brake kit warp?
4) Any other options I'm missing?

first off, where are you buying the warped rotors from? if it's Nissan, that is your answer. simply buy them elsewhere.

as long as you torque your lugs, do not hose down when hot, or slam the brakes, you shouldn't get warped. possible other factors beyond my experience, but that's all i know. also turned rotors may be more likely to warp as well. you're just squeezing a few miles from them.

check the group deal on many types to choose from by automax_95 : http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=374496
I got a set from him, but don't need them yet. my friend w. an 03 got slotted ones as well and loves them. if you get them from Jason, let him know i referred you.

good luck.

I did not put Nissan Rotors on the car when I replaced them the first time.

The lug nuts are not overtightened, and I don't brake hard, nor do I spray them off when they're hot (or cold for that matter).

Stereodude, I replaced the OEM pads with Hawk HPS and put new Nissan rotors at the same time and so far so good. If you go that way, make sure you follow the recommended pad bedding in process. BTW, what are the symptoms in your car? Pedal vibration? Steering wheel vibration?

I read the article. The author did mention properly tightened. As for the comment about spraying them, that was in reply to NismoMax80.

So, have you followed the tips of the article and not had any "judder" problems since?

The symptoms are always a slight vibration in the steering wheel that gets worse under heavy braking. I can't say that I've really noticed a pedal vibration.

Yes,
3 years, over 60,000 miles, 2nd set of pads, perfectly smooth brakes.

Look for these on Ebay or online. I haven't warped them with abusive use.
I bought them for $307 zinked and shipped.

Just to add to the mix- I was having persistent warped rotors on my 2000 ever since I bought it, I even tried Matt Blehm's BlehmCo BBK with the 6th gen rotors (OEM Nissan rotors), still warped those within 3 months.

The next time around I changed my calipers (they were showing signs of sticking, though, so that's what triggered my attention) along with using cross-drilled/slotted 6th gen iRotors with Bendix IQ Titanium pads. That was almost 1 year ago and it's been *flawless* ever since. I'm wondering if the Calipers were the magic bullet.

I used reman. Cardone-brand OEM-size calipers from Advance Auto Parts.

I'll have to see about buying some 4 new rotors and new pads and properly breaking them in and seeing what happens.

That always happened in my altima, 99 that is. The harder I brake the more vibration. If I slam on the brakes it locks up.

Similar symptoms and it was diagnosed as out-of-round rotors at the dealership at 15k, 20k and 26k. Third time, I decided to just replace pads and rotors myself after Blackbird and a member from a different forum recommended Hawk pads. At 40k now, I experience no steering wheel vibration under heavy braking. You won't break the bank with this option either (about $68 for Nissan OEM rotors each and about $60 for front Hawk HPS pads). Good luck.

Are the Hawk HPS pads better than the Axxis Metal Master or Axxis Ultimate pads? Since I'm not racing I probably don't need the Axxis Ultimates, but they're tempting at Axxis Ultimate/PBR ultimate pads $48- $96 F/R from AuToMaX_95.

I researched a lot about brake pads and the Hawk pads came out first. I got them in my closet waiting to go on the car. Next year my pads should be done and I'll put on the hawk pads.

To the guys who have Hawk HPS pads now, do your squeel a lot? I had these pads on my old car, stopping was terrific, but every stop and tap of brakes I would get crazy squeeling noises.

Not really... Did you use the shims and high temperature disc brake lubricant w/ moly between the shims and the pads? No squeals w/ mine...
