so like most 5.5 owners, i changed my tail lights to 01 SE lights. i love it. however, when i ordered them, i got 2 different brands. one is TYC, the other is Depo. Now that i look at them, after almost a year, one of them (i dont remember which one) is slightly less dark than the other. you can see the texture in the tail light much easier than the other one, and its really bothering me, cuz i am **** with that stuff. so what should i do? use a couple of light coats of Nightshades and get them the same color, or try and find someone selling a set of OEM SE tails?

 

Buy new ones... I would try and find used OEM ones.

 

you're screwed....throw them away and buy a new set.



i'd tint the whole taillight on both of them. you'd probably get it to match better that way. that's what i did with my 02-03 tails

sorry, i'm a 4th genner and don't spend much time in here, but what do the 01 SE lights look like compared to other 5th gen tails?

 

i think im gonna end up buying another set of tail lights, or at least buying one of the same brand for the other side, i think it was TYC.

86maxima, the 01 SE lights are black bezel lights, the OEM 02 lights are silver bezel.
