Need help on changing tranny oil, ASAP!!!

this might sound stupid, but i can not get the fill/drain plugs off the tranny! I tried with all my might, but no go. So now i am starting to second guess if i am turning the wrench the correct way..

I know righty tighty, lefty losey, but... I dont know. i give up. lol

some one help.. if you have change your tranny fluid, to remove the bolts, were you pressing up on the ratchet, or pulling it down? I feel so stupid right now..

Nevermind, I got it... I had to use a small piece of pipe to give me more leverage to get the bolt out. I don't feel stupid anymore.

Its funny how sometimes something as little as a bolt/screw/clip can impede a job. Glad you got it worked out!

Since this is somewhat related (and since I can't post a new post):

"
I have a 72k 2002 car (very high mileage) and just today it started "slipping" in first and second gear - that is, from 3000-6000 rpms the car revs fast but doesn't respond accordingly with regard to acceleration.

The same goes for 2nd and 3rd gear.

I have only had the car for 1k miles but I doubt the tranny fluid has been changed ever since I have virtually all service records.

What should I do first?

if not, you'll have to change the tranny fluid sooner or later, i would change that before investing in a clutch and seeing if it solves the problem although i doubt it will. Good luck.
