Words of Wisdon: Don't waste your time running on hot humid days!
I'm pretty BS right now.
I drove about 2 hours to hit up a track seeing as I've added all of these mods to the Max only to run 2 15.8's @ 82MPH in a row. Something is seriously wrong here. During the day it was hot as hell but cooled off a bit when the sun finally set. It was still humid as a bastard though.
The track wasn't prepped and a couple of people complained about the timers not being calibrated. I do think something was wrong also. Is it possible for a car to run 15.2 @ 92 MPH? That seems a little weird to me.
My best 60' was 2.38 and my worst was 2.45 or something like that (I threw away the time slips to ease my pain).
Even though it was humid out, I should ran faster. I'm really, really aggravated right now. I swear I feel like putting the car back to stock right now.

What track? Same one as you ran at before?
What were the exact conditions yesterday? What were the conditions like when you ran stock? It's quite possible your stock time was under very favorable conditions hence the better than average times.
You had reported earlier that you didn't think your MEVI was working. Was this still the case yesterday? What your mods again?
In my cars, same track, I would see about a .2-.3 and 2-3mph difference between running on a 80-100 degree day vs running on a 50-60 degree day.

The dumb thing is that I'm not bone stock. I ran 15.6 bone stock and I'm cool with that.
I've since added a Y, MEVI, TS ECU and modified my stock intake box. Keep in mind that track conditions sucked and I'm told that were about 1000' above sea level. I feel the car should have had a lot more to show even in these conditions.
Dave:
Added to what I've said above, weather conditions were horrible. When I ran stock, it was 45 degrees out.
I'll probably calm down and wait until it's colder out then run at E-Town. I knew better than to run in humid conditions.

I forgot to add that is it quite possible for the timers to be messed up, especially the trap speed boxes. There have been a couple of times at my track where the left lane would read 3 mph slower than the right lane even though the ETs matched as did the 1/8 mile ET/MPH. Last year there were a couple times where the trap boxes were reading 4mph low, but my ETs were normal. I was running 14.4@94mph which didn't make any sense seing that I was crossing the line at my usual 100-101mph as indicated by the speedometer. I went back the following week and was running 14.4@98mph with no changes.
So yes, the timers may have been screwed. I'd go to E-town in October and see what you run.

Ok, I'll do that. I figured I should be trapping welll over 90 mph. I also ran against a GTP (which is known to be a 14 second car stock) and we were neck and neck and he edged me at the end.
Deezo did you run 15.2@92 because if you did it is possible for your car to run high 14's.
I was running 15.1-15.2@92 with 2.4-2.5 60fts.
I am going to recommend you hit the dyno. it will be the only way to know certainly what is going on. You can always try hitting NE drag way with me once i have my car repaired. But from the ride you gave me and joe in your car a couple weeks ago...there is no way that thing is as slow as your times are suggesting.

Yep, you will always do better when its cold, unless the traction is really bad.
I did however run a better than stock time at a particular south Georgia track, against a bunch of GTO's.
I beat my best stock time at that track by half a tenth, with a track temp of 100 degrees and a 15 mph headwind, versus my best stock best there when it was around 60 degrees. I guess and intake and full exhaust make a noticable difference.
Low 13's here I come, once its cooler.

Well, I thought more about his. At Maxus 2001, I ran high to mid 16's all day when I was stock. That day was near or in the 90's. I gained a full second in the 1/4 mile when I ran in 45 degree weather. 2 different track though.
I will definitely dyno when I get some cash and try to make a day of it. I'm also going to try to rip a light to my actuator so when it opens, it closes the circuit to a light or LED. This way I can truely verify if the VI is physically opening.

Deezo; change your knock sensor harness, and play with how tightened the KS bolt is. My mph went from 102 to 105 just tightening the bolt. If the bolt is too tight, it will be too sensitive, if it's not tight enough (as it was in my case) it will hurt too.
The technical reasons as to why your times were slow has been covered, but I just want to say don't get discouraged about one bad day at the track. I know how you feel and how frustrating it is but everybody who goes to the track often will have a day where times just suck, for whatever reason. I have done back to back weekends and ran .5 sec different for no obvious reason. One weekend I wanted to sell my car and the other I loved my car.

Jclaw: Joe replaced it for me and when he did, he tested the harness with his "Super Duper Testing Machine" and deemed it in perfect shape. I'll check the FSM to see what it's supposed to be torqued to.
I did notice earlier in the day while heading to the track when I was accelerating hard on the highway, I was getting heavy detonation with the TS ECU at times as if I need to run race gas or something. It could have been my VI going nuts also. I have to do some investigating.
I'll need to invest in a data logger so I can become smart like the rest of you guys because I think some tuning needs to be done. I really need to get a little more serious about where I want to go with this car because I know the potential it has. I'm going to call Techno and see what can be done after I verify with the datalogger. Right now I'm back to the stock ECU.
Mike: I hear you man. I was at a 10 Years of Service Dinner last night with my company last night and The Chairman was giving a speech to us verterans. At one point he talked about how we as a company may fail and make mistakes but to become successful, you have to keep trying. Well, hearing him say that did change my mind about what I should do. I'm going to save some cash up so I can head to the dyno in October to see what's going on.

I am going to have to agree with this. Most days i love the thing but there are times when i just wanna trade it in and move on. Either way deezo i will hit the track with you next time
I did my best ETs that night, but I have changed tons of stuff since I last ran a 1/4 mile. When I first got the car and was learning to drive standard I used to run 16s all night with a burned clutch after every run.
But that night I managed to pull off a 14.9@93 MPH with a terrible 2.4 second 60' foot and with granny shifting, without roasting the clutch.
I was gonna try the slicks but it got to late and they wouldn't let me race, then it started to rain so they closed the track. Anyways me and Chris might go back in a few weeks on a cooler day, I would like to try the slicks with my car's suspension and with some newer coil packs.
