Been a 5.5th genner for a while and since the girl has a new 05 SL , i was wondering what kind of tint looks good on the smoke? Anyone with pictures of their own 6th gen smoke with tints?

Also, the fogs that the SLs have... are they still H3s? Do they have HID bulbs for it?

 

I have 35% with Latte interior... I think they're alright but darker would look nicer IMO. If you don't care about tickets, I'd say go with 20% and call it a day. Looks really nice on Smoke. Look around in this section and you'll see some pictures... Smoke of course is the coolest (and fastest) color.

The fogs are not HID, because it'd kinda defeat the purpose of them. If you don't have fog where you are, then you can change them to whatever you want (HID, LEDs, whatever). Around here I get to use them every now and then, so I just leave them alone with the stock bulb.

 

Yep, I dunno why, but smoke is faster than other Maximas... I've got 35% tints on the sides, 50% front and rear...

 

20% front windows 5% everything else 48% front windshield

hey tekniq were you ever down in southie near a UPS or a GYM with your friends in a SUV and another Red Acura? I drove by a silver 6th gen on my way to the gym and it had chrome rims on...... hm....

nope... they keep telling me about this car though, people think is me... I think i saw it also driving in my semi over there around 495.. if it is, it has a greddy exaust or it was another one..

I've seen it done already on a 6th gen.... its easy, just splice the pos/neg from the fog to the ballast, the ballast is hooked up to the HID bulb from the package...

i think mroleg did it on here, pm him..

35s all around. Like viguera said -HIDs in the fog light-kinda of overkill,but the again to each their own.But hey HIDs in the corner lights? Probably won't fit though...

 

EDIT: I was talking about the fogs not cornering lights below....


I don't think so man, the kid i talked to he said it makes a hell of a difference in vision.. it won't bother anyone on the road since they are pointed downward and not straight..

I can't wait to do it myself..

right now is painted engine covers and lower grille to match the car, and powder coated brake calipers in silver, and the blue screen and gauges like GEC..

winter is coming so I'm limited for now on exterior mods.. if no one makes a how to by then on the HID fogs, I will do it..

 

i was talking about the fog lights only there Max2n, not the corner lights.. I will never HID the corner lights, thats just plain stupid..

 

Does anyone know where I can get the rear window spoiler like the one on a blue maxima posted by Maxima617 on the org's modification page. I been looking all over the net to no avail. Any help would be much appreciated.
