I am actually looking to get a similar diameter rubber hosing or something like that, i'll let you know how it works out.

I'm glad you mentioned that, mine has broken off all along the middle, is it necessary? What would it affect really if it was gone?
It's the only part of my engine bat that looks weathered, I'm afraid to clean it because it will just come all the way off...

It is rather simple. First I painted plastic covers to match body color. ( A friend of mine works in a body shop he hooked me up)
Then I bought 5 different diameters chrome wire loom (aka convoshield) the rest is just a couple of hours of work.
Loom comes slit so it is a matter of patiently and carefully putting on all wires and hoses you want the loom to be on. Just make sure you don't brake anything while you doing it.

The engine bay looks great, I just wiped my down today and when I was done I asked myself why I did it b/c nobody sees it but me and the shop mechanic.

O.T.
Is there a way to increase the size of our OEM air intake "slit" (without doing a full conversion to a CAI) and would that help with a freer air flow and better mpg and/or hp?

The hoses go real well with the painted covers. Very clean. I like it a lot.

Looks outstanding. Goes very well with the engine bay paint. If i didn't get the CF engine cover I definatly would have gone with a similar idea.

Would I be able to to buy The majestic blue paint? ( assuming that u painted it that same color) or should I just take it to a custom paint shop. Theres gotta be a few in the NYC/LI area.

OH, BTW The bay looks sweet, I might have to steal some ideas.

Chris, I took it to a body shop. Pretty much any shop should be able to match the paint if you give them the code for it.
Code for Majestic blue is BW9 (navy).

This is a good place to start:

http://cableorganizer.com/convoshield/

I don't know if they have that color though.
