Finally got a chance to to Timing Advance to my max
Well I finally got the chance to do the timing advance on my max to 17d before tdc and the best part of it it was free. The only thing I did notice or maybe it was my mind but my car did seem to pull harder in 1st and second gear but it might be just me. The only part that I am dissapointed with was when I hooked the consult, it gave me 3 codes so now I have to get them fixed.
did adjust it using the consult program? i did the same but i really couldnt tell any difference in doing so.
how did u check to see if it got advanced? im clueless when it comes to timing and i tryied to log it but i was seeing everything from high 40~s to a negative number

Change your knock sensor harness, should solve the problem. I had that happen to me too. Changed KS, nothing. Then changed the KS harness and it pulls like it's supposed to now. There really is a big difference.

THE KS harness can be verified by checking for continuity unless your wire is loose sometimes; I believe that to be my case.
How much is the KS harness and what's the part number? I changed my knock sensor and noticed no difference myself, although I didn't actually know that the old KS was bad, so who knows. The old KS was five years old and I just felt that the car was slow. Thanks.
are u using stock 5th gen computer or 4th gen? if 4th gen, i thought the timing automatically goes back to normal once the car is cut off? something like that? btw liqidvenom, i didnt know u had the ability to increase timing! we must seach other very soon
