My Airbag light is blinking. What do I do?

My AirBag light just started blinking. What does it mean? My seatbelt pre-tensioners are working. I tested them. I tried resetting my ECU, but the light is still blinking. Is their another way to reset the warning and see if comes back. I ALWAYS wear my seatbelt, so I don't need an airbag. I have had the experience of a passenger side airbag and I know that if you wear your seatbelt they are unecessary and just hurt. BTW I have a 2k1 Max 5-spd w/121k mi.

you cant test a pretensioner.

you can try pulling the codes

per NSM

From User Mode to Diagnosis Mode
Diagnosis mode activates only when a malfunction is detected, by turning ignition switch as follows:

Turn ignition switch "ON ".
After "AIR BAG" warning lamp lights for 7 seconds , turn ignition switch "OFF " within 1 second .
Wait more than 3 seconds .
Repeat steps 1 to 3 three times.
Turn ignition switch "ON ".
SRS will not enter Diagnosis mode, if no malfunction is detected.

From Diagnosis Mode to User Mode
After a malfunction is repaired, switch the ignition "OFF " for at least one second, then back "ON ". Diagnosis mode is returned to User mode.
If switching Diagnosis mode to User mode is required while malfunction is being detected, by turning ignition switch as follows:

Turn ignition switch "ON ".
After "AIR BAG" warning lamp lights for 7 seconds , turn ignition switch "OFF " within 1 second .
Wait more than 3 seconds .
Repeat steps 1 to 3 three times.
Turn ignition switch "ON ".
code should flash out with the light.

Thanks for the info, but I thought I could test the pretensior by generating enough G's by turning or braking hard and then seeing if the seatbelt tightened up.
