Helios 6000k H4 Hi/Lo Pics

Hey guys I installed my Helios 6000k H4 Hi/Lo HID Kit the other night and I got back to school tonight and figured I'd try to take a few pictures with my prehistoric digital camera that is like 2.0 = horrible. I tried my best with different settings between night mode/no flash etc and these are the best 3 I got...the output at night is great and lights up the road a nice white color...These are all with low beams only and I didn't have my foglights on and I haven't adjusted my headlights at all but I also have driven for a while with them on at night and passed several cops and I haven't gotten flashed at all or pulled over so I guess i'll just leave it alone for now...I apologize if I should have posted these in the Pictures sticky thread but I figured this might be okay...

could you take some vid...maybe toggle the beams hi-lo. I really want to keep my home made AE-d headlights. I like how they give the max an aggressive look and I want to go HID soon with them.

I got them from maximabest on the group deal page...H4 kit is $265 shipped but I got the hi/lo because I wanted to keep my high beam option (just an extra bulb next to the lo beam bulb ...it's halogen so when you use it it's just yellow color but its good if you want to flash them or need them for inspection in MA like I do) so it was $35 more with total of $300 shipped. It was real easy to install...all plug and play...only thing that took me a few minutes was trying to find places to put all the ballasts and wiring...doesn't look all that pretty in the engine bay but at least I can see the way I want at night now.

yah I'm actually going home tonight and I have a video camera at home but it's also old like my digital camera so I'm sure the quality wont' be great but I'll try to get a video of it warming up and flashing the highbeams and showing output for you if I have time

I have a question on the installation of the HID. Did your kit come with the plug to plug straight the socket of the H4 OR am I suppose to wire the red and black wire to the original headlight socket.. it feels like i'm missing something from the kits

My pics!

Inside the car:

With yellow fogs and aforementioned glare. My opinion is that it isn't necessarily distracting or annoying to oncoming drivers as much as it is not pretty because it isn't clean.

There's one wire that will plug directly into one of the H4 socket. The other H4 socket is not used. You'll also have a bunch of relays and two power wires that will beed to be connected to your battery.

I don't have a pic since mine has been installed . But I can tell you what comes with:

2 Ballasts
2 Ignitors
2 Bulbs
A wiring harness which basically looks like a cluster of Christmas light wires.
2 Mounting plates for the ballasts
Fuse, zip ties, wire loom
Directions/Wiring Diagram
Double sided foam tape

I think that's all of it

are the bulbs d2s or d2r? also did they give you any type of shield to reduce oncoming glare?

I believe they're d2r bulbs and there is no glare shield. I've been driving with them for about a month and haven't had a single driver high beam me.

OEM products are called Bi-Xenon. They involve one bulb that shifts the bulb mechanically to produce a hi-beam output. Aftermarket versions of this, I've heard, are problematic. The most typical hi/lo setup is the aforementioned and what you asked.
