I wish I could store mine for the winter....

Wash, clay bar, polish, AIO, 3 layers of SG, then wax. I also put on the stock rims and raise the coilovers.

Winter tires on 16in alloys and back to stock suspension (maybe some springs for a suttle drop). I got some winter tires for next to nothing on ebay.

You know I can't remember, I believe it's 2-3 sizes smaller. But it does not have to be a certain size, you can get away with a couple, not specific since you can control a good amount of slack with the tensioner.

I don't feel it but

Well, I just did my winter prep clay/exterior detail last night...

Of course once winter hits it'll look like crap for 6 months! Other than that, I just stick my winter tires on and I'm ready to go! I need to get a block heater this year though...my Mom said I can't park in the garage all the time anymore apparantly we all have to take turns now. Not very happy about that!

Oh yeah, I get my annual rust proofing done too. Covers the underbody and all the seams, etc.

Both are Klasse products. All In One is a cleaner/polymer. Very low abrasive qualities. One layer is enough.

SG is Sealant Glaze. Again a polymer type that protects very well. I prefer this 'synthetic' stuff because it lasts through the snow and salt in the winter.

arent you supposed to run your a/c every now and then to make sure things are properly lubricated and that all the seals stay lubricated so they dont crack or anything?

The defroster uses the same compressor as the AC so if you use your defroster it will ensure that the seals don't dry out.

Oil recently changed. Bought new Yokohama Avid H4S tires yesterday at bargain basement prices. Coolant okay. Car detailed professionaly in July.

The main thing I hope to do is to keep the car off the road to the extent possible in any icy and snowy conditions and drive the car as little as possible in inclement weather. Some winters we get no snow and if we do it is generally rained away the next day given the mild coastal winters.

Last week of October/first week of November I put winter wheels on. But since this is the first winter I've had my Max, I need to buy them. I should get on that. And the paint's so crappy I don't even bother with wax. Snow tires will suffice.

If you bypass it with a smaller belt then the defroster can't use it either.

Then don't bypass it with a smaller belt! What possible benefit does a smaller belt provide? Leave that to NmexMax and people with nothing better to do.

wash, clay, polish, wax a couple times.

you midwest/east guys have to worry about coolant, snow tires, changing wheels, etc. etc.

Defroster still works fine, but I do not live in an area with high humidity so I'm not sure if it affects it as much.

I've had to park mine outside when its been colder than -40 degrees BELOW 0! Everything feels frozen and stiff and its pretty gross. Its even hard to turn the steering wheel. My rear doors stop closing properly when its really cold too. Thank God for heated seats!

Really, nothing, I keep my car prepped everyday for year round use, also depends on where you live, I'm sure all the California fires will keep the West Coast Max'es warm this year. If conditions get too bad, I break out my 4 wheel drive Chevy Trailblazer LTZ with cold weather package. Any winter in Maryland should have a plan "B", $hit swings both ways over here...

Regardless, think tires and ensure you check the temperture extremes (high - lows) of any fluid in you vehicle. Other than that, drive...

Nope, not at all. Anywhere there's plastic there won't be rust, and rust is what eats away paint.
