Downshifting in auto = bad, right? Clear this up for me then...
So if downshifting in an auto is a bad thing to do, then wouldn't that mean using the OD is a bad thing to do too, since essentially what you're doing is manually downshifting? If such is the case, wouldn't that render arguements of people saying downshifting is bad...useless?
I don't do it, I only shift up on occasion, but it is something that just struck me as a little odd.
