Tachometer Fluctuating, P0500, P0600, Speedometer works. Cruise works intermittently

My 97 maxima has codes P0500 and P0600. When I start the car the Tachometer will fluctuate ( video posted here: http://youtu.be/vgF2PFWvef8 .) Speedometer works 100%. Cruise control works when it wants to. I have had these codes for a long time. When I'm at a red light the tachometer will get as low as 400rpm, at that point the car is shaking. I want to find a solution and clear finally clear the codes. Any solutions?
EDIT: Not sure if this problem is associated.. When accelerating, the car seems to be hesitant. Like it's breaking up/ there is not full power.

The P0500 is for the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS). It is in the transmission and sends a signal to the speedometer. The speedometer relays the signal to the ECU and the cruise control module. The VSS is probably intermittent. The cruise control working sometimes and not working at others says intermittent.

The P0600 is the Transmission Control Module (TCM) for the auto trans. It is located under the center console, in front of the shift lever. You did not mention any shifting problems, but there is a problem since the TCM controls the shifting.

Your idle problem is a 3rd problem, not related to the P0500 or P0600 codes. Without a code, this is a guesswork thing. Maybe the throttle body needs to be cleaned, of maybe the MAF sensor is dirty or failing. Clean the throttle body and MAF sensor and see what happens.

In the link below, see page 251 for the P0500 code and page 265 for the P0600.

check your revolution speed sensor located on the transmission under the driver wheel, but first I would do the transmission check procedure to make sure it is it

it's the second post https://maxima.org/forums/4th-genera...ere-first.html
