no one talks about Stillen Y pipe...

I was just wondering why no one ever talks about the Stillen Y pipes? Whenever theres a y pipe thread its always between Cattman and Warpspeed. I was just wondering, what about Stillen? The price is exactly the same as Cattmans. Any difference? Any Stillen owners out there?

From what I've read, people say the Stillen Y-pipe makes no power? And is overpriced?

It's a POS and a y-pipe won't get you much power on a 01 anyways.

I'm pretty sure a y pipe wont get much power on an 02-03 but an 01 y pipe removes two precats, thus increasing flow. How well the Stillen does this, I dont kno.

i bought my car and it had an aftermarket y pipe. i believe it is a stillen (it's not SS!) and is starting to rust. not only this, i think i gotta get a new one, when i step on the accelerator, my car gives a RUSTING sound (like chipped metal) and it's DEF coming from the y pipe. sounds like stillen is falling apart making ceramic style y pipes. not sure if it's my MAF sensor (car is sluggish and could be reading incorrect fuel/air mixture?)

my impression, stillen y pipes fall apart and look UGLY (looks almost as ugly as stock)

Wrong. On a Fed spec 01, one precat is in the exhaust manifold. On a 01 CA spec, there's two in the exhaust manifolds. 95-00 Fed spec has both precats in the y-pipe.

If you get a y pipe for a 02-05 maxima, you're not removing any precats.

not removing precats on an 02+ Maxima will not increase power, thats why many choose headers over a y pipe.

The reason y pipes are not street legal is because they remove the precats that reduce start up emissions, so im not exactly sure what youre talking about.

anyone with more knowledge want to step in?
