Tokico Illumina questions??

I just got my Illuminas in the mail, however i'm waiting on my back ordered H&R springs, i know it'll be more work but can I put the Illuminas on with the stock springs, or are the springs too soft?
Also has anyone had clearance issues with the progress RSB on a lowered maxima, again I'll be using Illuminas and H&Rs
Thanks for your help,
Matt

You can use the Illuminas with stock springs... you'll find that the improvement will be significant even with stock springs.

No known clearance issues with the Progress RSB since it is attached to the beam and the distance from the beam to the ground doesn't change with lowering springs.

Btw, I have Progress springs and Illuminas.

cool thanks for the help Puppet, one more question, does the RSB, or any suspension mod cure or improve the rear axle hop while going around fast bends?

The RSB aids with cornering and handling in general. Lowering the car with quality parts and adding the RSB will improve the ride quality quite a bit. Have you already purchased the H&Rs? If not, you should check the classifieds. It will be a lot more work changing them out twice. If you have already ordered them, I'd just be patient and wait a little while and just do the install once.

The RSB (along with FSTB, stiffer springs or coilovers) keep the car more planted in general going round fast bends. I actually think the stiffening up of the rear by way of the RSB makes the rear more susceptible to "hops" if the surface is bumpy. I'm not sure if that's what you're getting at here, so please correct me if I'm wrong.

Progress & Illuminas - cut bumpstops?

Puppet, I have progress springs and am having my Illuminas installed this Friday. Did you have your bumpstops cut? Since we have the same set-up, I was curious if you did or did not cut-them and how it affects your set-up performance. Thanks!

No, mine are not cut.... I have bottomed out on large dips and bumps so when I have some time I'm gonna take em off and cut 1" or 1 "ring" from the bumpstops to see how that changes things.
