I have this right now and i couldnt find the bulbs anywhere except nissan. I decided to finally do some illumination work though. If you are interested in this i could hook you up with the design for the LED circuit and apparatus, its pretty cool, bit of work though. I will be building the circuits this weekend, ill let you know how things go. Replacement is pretty simple.

are the led solder on the pcb of the climate control or mounted in the socket with a resistor, if you don't mind i would like to see the design. I have the instructions to solder a resistor to a led on a socket and just twist it on for an accord but i don't know if it works for a maxima. planning on trying it out though.

I got a friend that lives in Naperville, his negihbor just got murdered the other day. Scary ****.

I would like to see the design, Please let me know how it worked out. Let me know what tools I need also and if it is difficult to do.

Thanks

This is the HOW-TO that I followed. Be EXTREMELY CAREFUL when taking the button tamplate off. I wound up popping the whole spring-assembly to the buttons and could never get it back together again. I had to buy a new one off of eBay and do it over...but it was well worth it.

have you also done your gauge? i'm planning on doing my gauge after i get my car back from the shop. I kinda got an idea of how to do it but i would like to see some other options. I don't like the ones where you gotta solder it to the guage. Want something you can just twist off like the orginal bulbs.

Click on the picture for my HOW-TO. While it's bright, I am still not fully satisfied. I am going to be retrofitting a 4th gen cluster into my 5th gen as my next project since their options are teh pwn.

I don't think that will work. I have tried every bulb under the sun, both soldered and bayonet-fixed, and found that only a Polarg 194 will truly work. Now, I'm not saying that it can't be done, but I know not of a way in which you can make it work otherwise.

ah alright i might have to try that been wanting to do it but **** keeps on happening and this week car got trashed. My bro send me this link http://www.v6performance.net/forums/...hlight=diy+led i guess the guy used the same bulb, but the way he did the climate control and stuff is pretty cool. Another question....how is the light output if you were to not sand down the faceplate?

A terrible, terrible, dingy blue, regardless of the type of bulb used.
